Straw cutting machine in Bangladesh is badly needed, for crushed straw can be used for many fields. However, there are many problems about dealing with straw in Bangladesh.
Incomplete straw supply system
Immature straw collection technology
Straw cutting machine in Bangladesh is rear-mounted with small size and low efficiency, and it is just suitable for dry land. So, it is difficult for straw cutter machine to work in paddy fields. When working, there are such malfunctions as entanglement, clogging of working parts, which makes it impossible to collect relatively high and thick straw such as corn straw and sorghum straw.
The tractor-driven straw cutting machine in Bangladesh is not easy to turn, and is suitable for fields with large space. Moreover, the straw cutting machine and straw baling machine work separately, increasing labor intensity.
Unclear wet storage mechanism
When storing crop straws, the storage stability needs to be considered to reduce losses as much as possible. When the moisture content of the straws exceeds 50%, wet storage and closed environment storage (such as cellars) are usually used.
However, wet storage increases the cost of transportation and processing. Moreover, the conditions and factors affecting wet storage are uncertain and require in-depth research in Bangladesh.
At present, rapid fermentation to produce lactic acid bacteria can be used to reduce the pH value and consume oxygen to form an anaerobic environment. By doing so, the moisture content, pH value and oxygen concentration of the straw during storage time are maintained at the optimal state.
My conclusions and recommendations
1. It is recommended to reach an agreement with the local farmers to store straw jointly.
2. By examining the distribution of farmland, selecting appropriate locations to establish large straw acquisition points.
3. Develop combined straw cutting machine in Bangladesh for small farmland areas with soft soil and much mud.
4.Seek effective and economical storage methods for the straw that is easy firing and mildew during storage time.
